  • Wednesday 17 March 2021 Year 8 Marine Scientist Q&A session Y8 had the fab opportunity during form time today to have a live session where they could ask questions to a marine scientist, through the Zoological Society of London. His research is on fish and local fishing impacts on their wildlife in Fiji. Pupils asked some fantastic questions and learnt about many aspects of what it is like to work as a marine scientist including how to weigh a fish and what a shipwreck is like! He shared his unique pathway into the role after overcoming barriers during his younger years. His takeaway message to the pupils was all about being persistent and that if you want to, you really can do anything!

  • Wednesday 17 March 2021 Year 8 Maths Assessments Year 8 have just completed their first end of unit assessment since returning to school. Lots of pupils showed really good understanding and displayed some great working out. This is great to see, especially as some of this unit was learnt during lockdown. Well done, Year 8.
  • Friday 12 February 2021 KS3 Art Work There has been some fantastic art work created by KS3 students whilst studying at home.
  • Monday 8 February 2021 Year 10 Lockdown Maths The Maths department are so pleased with the work produced by Year 10.  They have worked hard on solving quadratic graphs, compound interest and fractions, percentages and decimal to name but a few over the last few weeks.  Check out this great work from E Glimmerveen, B Williams, A Fox, B Sidley, H Stockton, M McLaughlin and G Elliot.  Well done guys!
  • Thursday 4 February 2021 Clap for Captain Tom Moore Pupils created some great art work to help celebrate the life of Capitan Tom Moore who sadly passed away this week.
  • Tuesday 12 January 2021 Joe Wicks PE classes for Student of Key Workers Students in school this week have been taking part in the Joe Wicks PE sessions, whatever the weather!
  • Friday 8 January 2021 Year 8 Joe Wicks Lockdown PE Year 8 pupils in school, have followed one of Joe Wicks' PE classes today.  It was a chilly session but one that pupils enjoyed.
  • Tuesday 5 January 2021 Year 10 student wins Junior Sportsperson 2019 for Staffordshire Moorlands Huge congratulations to W Houston-Brown (Year 10) who has been announced as the winner of the Junior Sportsperson 2019 for the Staffordshire Moorlands. 
  • Friday 18 December 2020 Festive Spreadsheet Artwork Well done to Year 7 pupils who created spreadsheet artwork using Excel and colour blocks
  • Friday 18 December 2020 Form Group Christmas Display Boards Form Groups were asked to do a festive notice board in their form rooms this Christmas.  Well done to all those who took part - some very creative displays

Members of Youth Parliament will campaign to influence the UK Parliament and their local representatives, ensuring that the views of young people are listened to by decision makers.
